Marcell Alexander is from Charlotte, North Carolina. I have a combined 4 years of service in the hair industry. I graduated from Empire Beauty School, located in Greensboro, North Carolina. I was inspired in this industry because I am considered a generational stylist. I have family members that have worked in the industry for years. I was not always interested in doing hair but found myself always having my hands in it. When I knew this was what I would be doing was almost 4 years ago. I had a friend that contacted me in the middle of the night with a very drastic “hair emergency”. I rushed to fix the problem at 3am, that’s when I knew that I would go to no ends to make sure that the hair I did had purpose and meaning. My path of life was set from that day forward. I am very empathetic to help others discover the beauty of what their hair can transform to, rather it is natural or relaxed I can do it all. I have trained in multiple avenues to become a specialist in natural hair, hair cutting, and blow outs. I am excited to where I will be in the future!
Carolyn Matthews was born in Charlotte, NC and moved to the Triad when she was 12 years old. Her initial passion was to do nails and therefore she enrolled and attended nail school and even worked for a period of time in a nail salon. For a brief stint, she tried out a career in the food management industry, but her love for the beauty industry never faded. In fact, it begins to broaden, and soon she realized that she had a desire to not only do nails, but style hair as well. This love caused her to enroll in Beauty College, and finally she was able to achieve her dream of becoming a beauty service provider. Throughout her ten years of experience she has had the opportunity to master many beauty techniques to create healthy and resilient nails and hair. She is grateful for every opportunity she has to make others feel more beautiful.

Charielle Couch is an enthusiastic individual that has a passion for nails. A current student at Winston-Salem, she grew up in the salon watching people transform clients in hair and nails and could feel the joy of how they felt and wanted to be a part of that emotional experience. I choice the side of a nail technician, I started practicing right away on friends to get my skills up to start a career in the field. Now that I work in a salon the time I spent learning and practicing my craft was all well worth it. The love that I feel from turning nails into a work of art is so satisfying. Being influenced in life by her mother and grandmother she can always hear the words of wisdom as she works, “Making one client at a time happy is bigger than the amount of money you can charge”. The time spent with them to create and make everyone special, I would not change for anything. She is so excited to grow further and maybe have her own one day.
