Marcell Alexander is from Charlotte, North Carolina. I have a combined 4 years of service in the hair industry. I graduated from Empire Beauty School, located in Greensboro, North Carolina. I was inspired in this industry because I am considered a generational stylist. I have family members that have worked in the industry for years. I was not always interested in doing hair but found myself always having my hands in it. When I knew this was what I would be doing was almost 4 years ago. I had a friend that contacted me in the middle of the night with a very drastic “hair emergency”. I rushed to fix the problem at 3am, that’s when I knew that I would go to no ends to make sure that the hair I did had purpose and meaning. My path of life was set from that day forward. I am very empathetic to help others discover the beauty of what their hair can transform to, rather it is natural or relaxed I can do it all. I have trained in multiple avenues to become a specialist in natural hair, hair cutting, and blow outs. I am excited to where I will be in the future!
Stacy Short is an international third generation stylist. She grew up in a salon with her grandmother, mom and Aunts learning techniques for years. Being in military life she found herself following the path of her father and uncles in her career of Engineering. Obtaining a Masters in Engineering in the field for 6 years, a Medical Degree and performing surgery for 4 years she found herself back to the passion of her heart as a stylist. She believes the detail in the other careers and the mechanics of her hands creates her to be the stylist that pays attention to detail and using head shapes to create the custom design work in haircuts and styles. Her motto is “ I can always do what a client wants to achieve but not before I make sure the hair is in the appropriate state of health first.” She has many achievements such as traveling and teaching for Paul Mitchell; where she obtained her education. She is a licensed Trichologist where she has studied the many forms of hair loss and their causes. She has publications in local and world known magazines. She says her path has only just begun and is always making steps to a greater way in life of giving what others need!

In fact, it begins to broaden, and soon she realized that she had a desire to not only do nails, but style hair as well. This love caused her to enroll in Beauty College, and finally she was able to achieve her dream of becoming a beauty service provider. She decided to specialize in nail care after getting her Cosmetology certification. She got into her career after a few motivational speeches from her biggest supporters which are her family. She can say it has brought her much joy to do nails since she received her first “kiss” nail art set when she was 13 years old, it ignited her passion from that point on. A graduate of NC A&T in Business Administration with a concentration in Management; shortly after she obtained a Cosmetology license. Charielle is an enthusiastic individual that has a passion for nails. A current student at Winston-Salem, she grew up in the salon watching people transform clients in hair and nails and could feel the joy of how they felt and wanted to be a part of that emotional experience. I choice the side of a nail technician, I started practicing right away on friends to get my skills up to start a career in the field. Now that I work in a salon the time I spent learning and practicing my craft was all well worth it. The love that I feel from turning nails into a work of art is so satisfying. Being influenced in life by her mother and grandmother she can always hear the words of wisdom as she works, “Making one client at a time happy is bigger than the amount of money you can charge”. The time spent with them to create and make everyone special, I would not change for anything. She is so excited to grow further and maybe have her own one day.
